From what I have been heard, Nikon is the best. Anyone have other recommendations for a range finder ?

I have a Garmen 76CSX and it has been all over the province. It is the one I use when timber cruising and it has never failed. The only draw back for hunting is it is a little on the large size but it still fits in my lapel pocket of my coat.

I ending up getting a Bushnell Sport 600 rangefinder for Christmas. Nice unit.

Hey congrats Tracer! That's a light and compact unit. I have my eye on the Wildgame R400... cheap but it's all I can afford at the moment.

That should be fine unit for deer tracer. I have a Bushnell Yardage Pro and it has served me well on the deer front. I would like tio get a little better unit (like a 1000) because I use it for moose hunting also. On non-reflective targets the 1000 should be good to at least 500 yards.
