| I had a close call with a buck chasing a doe on the highway Thursday morning on the way to work. Cold temps, chance of flurries for Sunday, Halloween. I will be in a tree for sure. | |

| I'm seeing lots of scrapes and rubs now, but still not seeing any deer. Had a bit of snow yesterday afternoon. I wanted to get back out for a hunt but had the kids over and the race was on too. Went out tonite after work and nothing again. | |

| I went out yesterday all day nothing . I only heard about 5 shots, not sure about one could of been a dump truck. I am hearing a lot of yotes and at least two greys I hope they don't take too many deer. _________________ "Hunting cannot be fully explained" "It must be experianced to be fully understood" Proud Member of..... | A friend of mine went out last week and with the wind howling at speeds up to 100km/hr all he saw was flying leaves and branches. He was smart enough to forego the tree stand for a natural ground blind (an up rooted tree). | |

| Was out last week with my brother and dad. Things were really slow with the warm weather, but we managed a doe on a last minute drive. I'm still hopeful that I might get a crack at one - crossing my fingers everything comes together soon. | |

| Congrats on the deer Swamp. It's been slow my way since mid Oct. with very few deer sighting . Charles Alsheimer ( D&DH ) says the most intense chasing will occur from Nov. 21-25 . I hope he's right, I've got the week booked off for the hunt. | |

| I think Charles is right on his dates for my area anyway.(69a) I had a close call yeaterday while walking in to my stand, heard a buck grunting like crazy . He was chasing two Does and ran past me staying in the thick stuff, couldn't get a shot and no way he would stop. Nice to finally see some deer, but thats all I seen hunting all day. A lot of coyotes howling again last night just before dark. Back out this morning and try again. Also, seen a really nice buck yesterday, dead on the road about a mile from my place, what a shame. | |

| I've got a target buck patterned but he's nocturnal at this point( indicated by the info strip on my trail cam, flash off). I saw him in Oct. at another spot but he turned around on me. When the wind is right, I'm going in after him. | |

| The rut is in full swing in the northwest this week. I was there last week and we caught the beginning of it and the deer were really moving. We saw more deer than we ever have and some nice big ones to boot. By Wednesday we were out of buck tags with six down. One guy shot a spiker thinking it was a doe but that was while we still had buck tags. Two of my buddies got nice 10 pters but the rest were smaller. I'll post some pics when I get a chance. | |
