Just picked up a pair of Guide Gear boots, Medalist jacket and bib from the Sportsman Guide store (online)... All for only $300, when I would have paid $400 or more at BPS or straight from the manufacturer. I seriously needed new boots, as the Kamiks I own, I have had for about 25 years and the jacket and bib I have used up till now aren't insulated, so I have had to layer up a lot. What I like about all of these is that they are all waterproof, breathable and scent controlling with silver technology.

Just got to get rid of that glue smell on the boots... might try and hang some earth wafers and rub some dirt into them... keep them in a bag for as long as I can.

You also might try rubbing cedar or balsam branches on them. The oil from the needles make a good masking scent.

Great tip... I actually forgot about that one. Yup, just got some cedar bows and striped the bark off a branch and smeared the sap over the front of each boot where most of the glue smell is coming from.
Thanks 4st Eyes!

B-57 has a good point and that is why i like to use balsam fir branches and it's resin. I have worked in every corner of Ontario and I can't think of anywhere it doesn't grow. I have used other cover scents but only if the scent is native to the area.
