Bears Update

Bear visit to my bait site on opening day. Only problem was, I wasn't in the tree. Due to my job, I had to cancel my hunt that morning. They sure love that dog food. Rebooked day off for Sept.14.

Well, I got out yesterday morning for a hunt. It felt great getting the gear all on and hunting in a tree again. Noticed the bait had not been hit and added some more dog food. Sat for three hours but nothing came in but a coon. Then I set off a can of bear bomb and heated up some mollases . Still no bears came in . Checked cam before leaving at noon, no pics. Couldn't get out for an evening hunt but will try again on Sunday.

I think his time is drawing near...

The bears that where hitting my baits have stopped as well. I heard shots on some property that I don't hunt not too far away, maybe the bear is down.

Final, in your area it is only a matter of time before another takes his place. Hope it is sooner than later.
