| As most of you know we did not draw a tag for our normal area, so we applied for a surplus tag near T.B. we recieved a Bull tag. After a lot of days driving, walking and A.T.V. riding. I spotted a small bull about 3/4s of a mile away on the other side of a large swamp, no way to get there so I started to call at first the Moose did nothing [looking at him after each call with my spot scope] Then he started to look my way, a few more calls and yes, he is heading across the swamp towards me I called him for about 30 mins making the sweetest cow sounds I could, he ended coming in to about twenty yards all the time he was behind brush and tag, I could see well enough but no clear shot and I don't take hail marys I stopped calling when he got close and had to wait trembling for another ten mins [seemed like a hour] till he finally walked into a small clear lane of sight I dumped him at 15 yards. As usuall every one thought the other guy was bringing a camera. So I only have a few pics after I took him out of the trailer at home, sorry about the chain I was tired and just wanted to get him in the shed and relax in the house after the long drive. _________________ "Hunting cannot be fully explained" "It must be experianced to be fully understood" Proud Member of..... | Congrats Final, you have your self some fine eating. I just got back fron the Fort Frances/Atikokan area (working) and saw 1 monster bull, 3 cows and 2 calves. I have a calf tag but one was gone in a flash and the other I watched for a few minutes but it was after legal shooting time (head lights). Ce la vie!!! The season ain't over yet. | |

| Thanks, the meat has a very nice flavour not strong at all. We had a roast and one of our guests did not know it was Moose, and thought it was beef. _________________ "Hunting cannot be fully explained" "It must be experianced to be fully understood" Proud Member of.....
