PostSubject: Triplet Fawns   Wed Jul 06, 2011 8:06 pm

It was last summer 2010 that I witnessed triplet fawns with a doe, feeding in a bean field in my hunting area. At the time my only thought was that this was a rare sight but it's also a sign of a very healthy deer population. This is when deer numbers are in balance with high quality habitat, according to the QDMA National Office. Most years twin fawns is the norm in my area by live witness or trail cam photo. Good news for my hunting area and the deer look to be healthy this year from trail cam pics.

I think that I have only seen triplets twice, once about 8 or 10 years ago and last year one of the Does at work had 3 fawns. Pretty neat to see. Finally got some fawn pic's on the trail cam, will post in the tc section
