Opening day

scouted a new area a bit in early spring .getting older.nice easy spot , O BOY. Lots of buck sign from last yr. O boy.Got in a tree with a climber well before daylight . Hear lots of commotion .O BOY. When light enough to see well, i hit the grunt just for ha ha s .3 other hunters had set up during the summer. They also hit their grunts.I left . So much for easy spots lol

Well, I find that when the season wears on and the weather gets colder and more snow, that a lot of the other hunters tend to dissappear. First thing you know, you've got the woods to yourself.

That's happen to me a few times in the past as well brickem. You figure you've got a slam dunk hunting spot only to find out that you are in a crowd. Steve's right on , the fair weather hunters disappear once the snow starts to fly.
