Well, I was sitting in my stand and at 7:30 I seen a deer coming through the hardwoods towards me. I could see he had a rack and thought, if he gives me a shot, I'm taking it. He went right where I wanted him to and just as I was about to say baaa, he stopped. As I aimed and pulled the trigger, he started to move. That made me a little unsure of the hit, but after a 2 hour wait, I found him laying about 80 yards or so away. When I first seen him, I could see the rack sitting up above the grass and thought wow. But I couldn't beleive how skinny he was. I think he is really old. He has some bottom teeth in the front but not too many others. He never would have made it through the winter. He weighed 140 dressed. Makes you wonder how many times hes avoided me or someone else that was hunting.
I've got a pic of one last year that I think might be him, it has the same split brow tine anyway? What do you think?
