I am looking at getting one of these new cellular cams and hooking it up on the Rogers network. Now available at Lebarons - $ 475

Nice idea, 500.00 is to much for me at this time, what is the monthly cost for the app? How would you utilize the feature?

Hi Final

The annual fee is $ 19.99 +tax
Rogers plan $10/month = 100mb about a 1000 high res. pics or 5000 low res.
I like that you will be able to change the settings on the camera from your computer or smart phone. Your photos are stored at the Spypoint site and emailed to your computer or smart phone. Leaving the cam in the field for long periods of time without having to go in to switch out cards, thus not educating the deer. Spypoint has a solar panel charger for it and the battery life for their cams is very good anyways. Yes it's a pricy cam but Spypoint is a higher end cam and has an very good track record . I would like to get one setup for the spring. Not interested in winter pics.

The future of security and trail cams I think is in these live cams and the price point will come down. Seen some in the US for around the $300 dollar range. I may make the jump in the next couple of years and get a couple. Could be awesome for security and the other big benefit is not having to stink up a good area checking cards.
