I was out this morning for a sit near a swamp. The walk in was noisy, the leaves crispy crunch frozen after the rain yesterday. A couple of ATV riders passed by and I was thinking what's the point. Anyways, I continued on to my tree stand for a 3hr sit with no deer sightings. Still fresh sign around so I will be back and will continue to hunt two other stands in the area until I fill my buck tag or hunt to the end Dec.31.

I just finished ML season, but will be out at least twice a week with my crossbow until Dec 31

Hunting every weekend except for this one. Just to windy for movement out there. I will be back at it next week after Christmas. It has been a bitter sweet year for me. I managed to get permission on two properties so I have a choice of three now... but with bad wind, weather, temperature and dumb dogs roaming around free I have not seen a deer since early November. Time to start thinking about next year and hit those properties for a scout.

hunting every day till the end of the year. Coulda shot a couple of Does but looking for a good buck although I haven't seen one for a week or three. Could of used some of this snow a month ago. Oh well, take what you get and make the best of it.

Done... No deer.... Time to plan for next season. Got 50 acres in Tiny and 150 in Erin to scout and do some early setup... Now that I have time to walk around... Hmm maybe some shed hunting too.

Tough season. All done, no deer.
Now the scouting begins for what I can learn about pressured deers escape routes, bedding areas, hidden feeding spots.
Some coyote hunting and shed hunting also.

I broke down and shot a Doe on Dec. 30 Wanted to get some Corned Venison made up and needed some more meat. Then my buddy shot a buck on the last night, now we have lots. Laughing

Congrats on the doe Steve,you did better than me,didn't get out much do to the selling of my house and looking for another,will get out and do some scouting for next year.

Congrats Steve, meat in the freezer is one thing I can't match. First year in eons I never filled the freezer.
