I've been fighting the flu since Tuesday, been off work. Feeling a little better now, like I might have it beat. Hoping to get back to work Monday and hunting next weekend.

Yes there is a lot of flu going around this year. I got it on the first day of my deer hunt and was down for the rest of the hunt. I drove 13-14 hours each way to hunt for one afternoon. Needless to say I wasn't too happy but I just didn't have the energy to go hunting. Several mornings I got dressed up really warm and had the truck warmed up to go, but I knew I'd never make the walk into my stands. After four days in camp I called it quits and drove home. I was just about ready to give up hunting all together but then reason kicked in once I started to feel a little better. Oh well, a couple deer will have the chance to grow larger for next year.
