I was out with the four wheeler checking three trail cams Sunday and came across this guy in camo, walking in form his car on a sled trail with a bag of RackStacker Fixcation in his arms. I drove on and came back later to see his tracks led in to my mineral site area. So I pulled the cam and headed back out. Turns out I was right on the border of a recently posted property. Too bad, I've been getting a lot of doe pics from there. It has good potential come rut time. On checking the card from there, all pics of the same doe, like 100+. At another site I had a cam strapped to a tree stand platform, facing down - no pics. It was located near a swamp. I pulled that cam too, reasoning that the stand is too close to the atv trail. The third cam checked is in an oak tree flat. Just a few pics of does on that one which I kept in there hoping to catch a buck passing through.

Posted land is one reason I travel up north to hunt. It is mainly crown land and open to all. If you get away from the roads and quad trails you can usually hunt unhindered. The only problem is you only get to hunt for a week or two and it is usually pretty cold.

No worries, I've got a nice secluded spot set up.

For futures, I'm looking for some crown land in WMU 75.
