I got this picture from a friend. it was taken on her cell phone so its a little grainy. She said that it was just grazing on a driving range at the edge of town. She asked me what I though it was? I told her that it looks like an ELK to me.

I was thru Bancroft twice yesterday and didn't see an Elk, and what do you know... they followed me home. LOL

There were pics in the paper here of a nice Elk just north of Kingston, a few days after the hunt.

A buddy of mine was bow hunting on St. Joes Island near the Sault one evening and had a cow elk walk right under his stand. Two years ago I almost smucked one on the 4 lane just north of the island. It was a big bull (6X6), really big bull especially when it is just off your bumper affraid .

Not this year. And no further reports after that fella was reported last year. We did have several black bear sightings this summer tho. He was breaking bird feeders in back yards & I saw several pics of him. A big bruin guessing over 300lbs. Sitting on a deck he was licking a bird feeder hanging 5 ft over the deck.
