Too quiet this year

So far I have been out a few times... a quick evening hunt two weeks ago, a weekend hunt last weekend and this morning. I hunted with a friend in the Wingham area and with another friend in the Pefferlaw area. My whole season so far is a no show and nothing answering. I am frustrated to say the least, but, it has been good to get out hunting again. This morning seemed promising but nothing... did have a bear about 200 yards, so that was exciting... couple of rabbits playing close by... oh well, I may give it one more shot.

I'm having about the same luck. Too few turkeys and lots of hunters.

Yes, it could be worse, I have zero ops for turkey this year, like you said at least you have been out.

Still very quiet, but I got an answer this afternoon. Got a jake coming to my call and lonesome hen decoy... but too late to close the distance. Just needed more time to work this bird. Good outing though. I knew it would be tough as I only had an hour and a half to give it a shot. Everything went as planned and as I had hoped but time was not on my side. I may have one more time to get out and it may be the last day of the season.
